An unreleased Claude model pushes a Riemann Hypothesis bound from 41.6% to 67.2%

Anthropic says an unreleased research version of Claude did not solve the Riemann Hypothesis, but it unexpectedly raised a century old lower bound on the fraction of zeta zeros that satisfy it, from 41.6% to 67.2%, the largest single step advance on that figure on record. The model reached the result using roughly 60 coordinated subagents and 31 million output tokens across two sessions, and Anthropic mathematicians say its argument has been reviewed internally and formalized in the Lean proof assistant.
